Planeta Pana Misia

The Planet of Pan Miś: the official archive of Michał Walczyk, art brut artist from Poland.

Wersja polska

Michał Walczyk, known as Pan Miś, was born on 13 September 1993 in Wałbrzych. He lives and works in Szczawno-Zdrój in Lower Silesia. He is entirely self-taught: he carves linden wood, burns, paints and draws. He writes the stories of his characters by hand.

This site is his archive. It is run by his brother and curator, Maciej Antoni Walczyk.

About the language. Most pages are written in Polish. The EN, FR and CS buttons in the header switch on an automatic translation. The pages listed first below were translated by hand. The artist’s own words always stay in Polish, with a translation next to them where we give one.
